Delightfully Bzzaar! (NOW CLOSED)

The York Bzzaar Art & Craft Fair is delighted to present renowned and wildly popular Melbourne artists Cat-Rabbit and Isobel Knowles, who will visit WA for the first time in September. Their hugely popular works, “Too Much for Turtle” and “Owl Know How” are exquisitely produced animated children’s books featuring felted animals, cardboard architecture and tiny household objects.  A much loved book amongst children of all ages, “Too Much for Turtle” even has a “tuck in turtle” pattern that children can make.

During their exhibition of animated works “A Matter of Factory” at The York Bzzaar, Cat-Rabbit will offer a workshop making wearable friends felted brooches. Cat-Rabbit has also created numbats exclusively for sale at The York Bzzaar. The books, published by Thames & Hudson, will also be available for purchase.

In addition to the “A Matter of Factory” exhibition, visitors to The York Bzzaar will be treated to a rare exhibition by the Botanic Artists Group which includes Margaret Pieroni, Pat Dundas, Philippa Nikulinsky, Katrina Syme, Ellen Hickman and Penny Leech.  The York Residency Museum will host a talk on the Museum’s textile collection by textile consultant Patricia Moncrieff.  There are

adult workshops by Nalda Searles, Natalie Tonkin, Kelsie White and Marlene Willson and workshops for children too.  Overnight visitors can enjoy a free concert in Peace Park with the Holli Scott Jazz Trio.
