Much of the quality produce is locally sourced, such as the seafood, and only free range chicken and eggs are used.
The extensive menu and tantalising aromas coming from the kitchen can make deciding a tough task. Standouts include golden butter floss king prawns; peking pork spare ribs; steamed local fish fillet with ginger & spring onions and the crispy duck in plum sauce. There’s heaps of rice and noodle dishes and vegetarians are well catered for. The house-made dim sum (available all day) is a very popular choice, with offerings like the addictive squid tentacles, steamed BBQ pork buns and vegetarian jade dumplings. Plenty of gluten free options are available too.
Vivisen’s beautiful decor provides a warm ambience, with striking agate stone tables and high back leather chairs. Local artist’s works adorn the walls and reflect Vivisen’s culinary focus and unique Fremantle setting. The private VIP room with stunning marri table is ideal for special occasions (minimum spend $300). Vivisen is fully licensed and BYO (wine only).
